Finally, after more than 3 years in waiting, I finally am able to release the latest live vocal range for Siti Nurhaliza. This time, it literally has more than 100 new clips added to the video, in comparison to the older one. And also, in better quality, mind you. Lol! Anyway, for your convenience, name of the songs, the event where they were showcased, and the year when they were performed are also added to the video so that you will notice more on the evolution of her voice from 1995 to 2014.
Let's start with the credits. First and foremost, I would like to thank MimiXtinaChelleKRow and Lieyo 85 for helping me all this while in the process of making this video. Truth to be told, I have no musical background, but I have always been fascinated with musical notes and vocal ranges (especially live) of Siti Nurhaliza. Since there's no video of live vocal range of hers available her (well except for my 2011 video) so I took the initiative again on my own, and update the live vocal range video for her. The journey has been long and tiring for me. For example, midway through making this video, my old laptop gave up on me, so I have to start from scratch with a new one. Plus, I also don't have constant Internet connection back at home, so that's another issue that I have to deal with. =="
The good thing is, with the 3-year gap, more and better quality of the older videos have been uploaded, so many of them have been replaced with a clearer, better quality for your enjoyment. Special thanks shoutout is also dedicated to Atoszone for uploading so so so many of her live performances here for us Sitizoners to enjoy. So, thank you!!
At the length of 34 minutes, I think this is the longest live vocal range in HD in YouTube for the time being. Lol!
Moving on to the video. Lol! Formally known as Voice of Asia, or sometimes as Asia's Celine Dion, Siti Nurhaliza exhibits great control and understanding of her voice. A Coloratura Mezzo-Soprano (According to DivaDevotee), she showcases her ability to jump between registers with much ease, something of which not so many pop stars today can do. In addition to the aforementioned ability, her lung power is also a thing not to be taken lightly. Many notes in this video is performed with great breath control and support, again, not so many pop stars, even the Hollywood pop artists can top her vocal understanding and performance.
In 19 years of her career, she has proven herself that she is indeed a gifted and versatile singer; she has covered various genres of songs including Power Ballad, Pop Rock, Rock, Traditional, Folk & Classic, Japanese Inka, and Latin-Influenced songs. Apart from singing in Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, she also has sung live in Hindi, Chinese, and Japanese. She has also has recorded multiple Chinese and English songs (and a full English album too), and also a song in Arabic with Sami Yusuf.
She's big in the Asia. Really big. In 2005, she was listed second in both MTV Asia and Channel V Biggest Asian Star charts. In 2010, in E! News Asia, she was listed Third for Asia's Most Powerful Couple in Asia with her husband. In 2004, she was dubbed as Voice of Asia by MTV Asia and Asia's Celine Dion in 2006 by British Media. She also was voted by fans from Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Indonesia as Regional Most Popular Star, TEN TIMES IN A ROW in Anugerah Planet Muzik (Planet Music Awards) since its inauguration.
By far, she's a living legend herself for -- One of Malaysia's Richest, Award-Winning artists. She has sold millions of albums in Asean region, especially in Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia. Estimated figures of her total recording sold can go as far 5 to 6 millions copies if not higher.
Please take note that I will always keep an eye on this video for both constructive comments and yes, the not so unconstructive ones too. So, please comment wisely and keep it cool-headed. As usual, any ridiculous, ludicrous comments will be deleted with no compromise.
