How many times did you forget to key a part of your pose when you are using manual key? Well it happens to everyone. So it is good that you select all the controllers and key the position so that you do not miss any controller. Generally when we need to select all the controllers we have to switch to a different view for zooming in and out. So every time you have to switch. But here is solution to your problem, where you do have have to switch and use the same view.
