A landmark trial over genocide committed during the Balkan war in the 1990s has ended in The Hague.
The former Bosnian-Serb leader Radovan Karadzic will now spend the rest of his life in jail, after being resentenced by a UN court.
The verdict is a legal benchmark for future war crimes cases.
Karadzic was appealing against a 2016 conviction for genocide and a 40-year prison term.
But the judges said his former sentence for the 1995 Srebrenica massacre was too light.
Al Jazeera's Sonia Gallego reports from The Hague.
