I had the opportunity to visit Joshua Tree National Park in Mid-March. This was an excellent time to visit – as the weather is typically cool and not too many crowds. I was greeting to a rain storm when landing in Palm Springs, CA, so I knew that I would have my work cut-out for me. As I have indicated in my videos, I am very much an amateur photographer, and I am still working hard on my composition development. Joshua Tree doesn’t have the typical “grand vistas” like many other National Parks, so I knew that it would be a great classroom for me to learn. During my time in Joshua Tree NP, I had the opportunity to do some hiking, and little rock scrambling, and to take a few pictures. I am never 100% satisfied with my photos, but I want to have the sense that I am always learning, always developing, and always getting a little more experience. The rain and clouds were something I was not expecting, but they were a challenge that I embraced. I have divided this video into two parts: Part 1 is my first afternoon in the park, and Part 2 is my second morning and early afternoon.
