This spinach/palak gravy is a tasty & easy to make gravy which goes well with rice ,idli & dosa..This is a typical Andra palak puluzu.
Tips :
1. Use sesame oil it gives nice flavour to your dish.
2. Cook in low flame till the oil oozes out..it helps the dish to taste good.
INGREDIENTS :
Tamarind water - 2 cups (from medium l lemon sized tamarind)
Chilli powder - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Green chilli - 1
Palak /spinach - 1 bunch
Chana dal - 1 tbsp
For tempering :
Sesame oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli - 1
Asafoetida /hing - pinch
Chana dal - 1 tsp
Garlic - 5 cloves
