Welcome to my very first night shift as a doctor - join me to find out what I got up to!
The night shift can be super scary because you have to go around the hospital on your own and carry a bleep (pager) that constantly goes off. I'm on surgical rotation at the moment. My job was mainly to review unwell patients on the ward, prescribe medications, take bloods, insert cannulas, and discuss patient plans with other hospital colleagues.
