Project handover is one of the most difficult and crucial steps in the software development lifecycle. What's more, unless planned wisely, it may turn out to be costly. When choosing a new software provider, you need to prepare well, so the most beneficial for your product would be to keep in mind this simple checklist for project handover that we’ve created for this video.

First of all, make sure that your choice is based on the retrospective assessment of the past team. Find out, what went wrong in cooperation with the previous programming team to know on what aspects we should focus on in our activities.

Secondly, you need to provide a new programming team with sufficient information and documentation about your project. It should include a description of the app architecture, key algorithms, and guidelines. Remember that the new team needs to receive this information in order to have a better understanding of your business idea and product - the handover process is not only about transferring a software system but also the knowledge, experience, and responsibilities.
