An introduction to digital identities and how to use them for privacy-preserving authentication. Foteini Baldimtsi (George Mason University) covers different types of anonymous credentials systems proposed in academic research and deployed in some systems. She then discusses how digital identities are being decentralized, and the challenges of efficient revocation of such credentials.
About the speaker
Foteini is an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department at George Mason University (GMU). Her research interests include cryptography, security, and data privacy with a special focus in signature schemes, accumulators, ZK proofs, private authentication techniques, and blockchain technologies.
