Silver has been recognized as a nontoxic, safe inorganic antibacterial/antifungal agent used form many years. Silver shows a very high potential in a number of scientific applications, more particularly in the form of nanoparticles. As it is naturally prouduced by green synthesis it reduces pollution and is ecofriendly. Silver nanoparticles can be successfully used as antitumor agents due to their antiproliferative and apoptosis-inducing properties. These are considered potentially ideal for cancer treatments.
