What is Bronchitis?
Bronchitis is an inflammation of the main air passages (bronchi) to the lungs. The tiny hair cells (Cilia) in the Bronchi traps and eliminates pollutants. When the cells of the Bronchi are inflamed, Cilia stops functioning. Causing the characteristic cough of Bronchitis due to a heavy secretion of mucus.

Acute Bronchitis
It lasts for a specific length of time and often caused by the same viruses that cause colds

Then spreads to the airways

Chronic bronchitis has similar symptoms to acute bronchitis but it is an ongoing illness
