❓· what is “weirdcore”?
an artistic expression, usually portrayed by 1960s-1990s styled images that gives nostalgia and also referenciates the beginning of the internet, a digital world. these images generally accompany with phrases like “we are not real”, “can you see me?”. but weirdcore does not close only for that. the messages that videos and photos want to convey through these images are generally discomfort for some, but comfort for others. usually, people who suffer through issues with their ownselfs feel safe with the whole point of weirdcore, since make them feel not alone. the pain is almost like door with a band aid.

❓· what’s the difference between “weirdcore” and “dreamcore”?
in my opinion, weirdcore is a disclosure of pain or discomfort that sort of heals you by expressing it, but dreamcore is a fantasy of happy between pain, you're already healed in that fantasy. obviously, for me the two merge, and the two are a process of helping, healing our own feelings. 💗.
