This Andhra fish curry recipe is a spicy, tangy gravy, full of flavour made in a traditional way with few ingredients and minimal effort in a short time. Andhra chepala pulusu is a South Indian cuisine, served with hot steamed rice, can also eaten with roti. Always tastes better after a few hours or the next day.

Ingredients
Fish Fillets 200-250gms
Shallots 3 medium finely chopped
(or 2 medium Onions )
Green chillies 3-4 thinly sliced
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Chilli powder 1& 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt as required
Fenugreek powder 1/4 tsp ( optional )
Oil 5-7 tbsp
Tamarind juice 2 - 2 & 1/2 cups **
or
ready-made tamarind paste 2 tsp ( dissolve in 2 cups water)
Ginger&Garlic paste 3/4 tbsp
Coriander leaves Handful
Serve this Spicy Fish Curry with steamed plain rice or roti.
** Tamarind — big lemon size ball
soak in 2 cups hot water for 5-10 mins, squeeze and extract the tamarind water.
If needed, add extra 1/2 cup water to extract
or can use ready-made tamarind paste.
