Starting a business without financial capital sounds daunting, if not impossible. Molly Berry, founder and CEO of textile and lifestyle brand Luna Zorro, found herself in this position but didn’t let it stop her. Instead, she took a non-traditional route and invested in a different type of capital: Social Capital. Molly realized early on that Social Capital is invaluable to the integrity and growth of any brand. By engaging her audience with colorful storytelling, Molly has fostered a network of active followers who continue to shape her business vision today, from product design and inventory strategy to brand development and marketing. Since 2015, Luna Zorro has grown from $0 to a six-figure social impact enterprise, all based on having a story to tell. By inviting others to join the Luna Zorro story, Molly is empowering each one of us to embrace our authentic and creative selves and follow our instincts despite the odds.
Molly Berry is a California native and the founder and CEO of Luna Zorro. Molly has lived in Central America since 2010 and is now based in Antigua, Guatemala where she lives with her husband and two young children. Molly’s love for textiles, design, photography and storytelling are an integral part of her life abroad and she’s honored to share her ideas on the importance of Social Capital in the 2018 Antigua Tedx.
