Gaylord's inpatient and outpatient speech-language therapists can help patients to recover after a stroke. Common issues after a stroke can include trouble with speech and articulation, difficulty swallowing and chewing, cognitive impairment, problems with social skills, and speech conditions such as aphasia. Aphasia can impair language understanding and generation. After hospitalization, patients with a stroke often need to continue their therapy in an outpatient setting. Gaylord Outpatient Services offers speech therapy at our locations in Wallingford and North Haven, Connecticut. Please note that a referral from your physician is required to make an appointment. Call (203) 284-2888 for an appointment or more information. Website: [ Ссылка ]
