The China-built Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), after five years of safe operation, has not only brought the most convenient means of transportation to East Africa, but also gradually changed the traveling habits of locals.
The 480-km railway, which connects Mombasa, the largest port in East Africa, and Nairobi, Kenya's capital city, offers locals an alternative choice for their daily travel, especially during the upcoming New Year's travel rush.
