“We are afraid for our children. Right now the tents are the safest thing.”
Syrians in Idlib are preferring to seek refuge in makeshift tents out of fear that their houses will collapse in earthquake aftershocks.
The recent deadly 7.8 magnitude earthquake, followed by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake, affected at least 23 million people, levelled hundreds of buildings, and killed more than 45,000 people in Turkey and Syria.
Thousands were left injured and homeless in the freezing cold, with survivors continuing to emerge almost 13 days later.
