Paul Kirner's Music Palace Ynyshir Rhondda Video Three - A couple of numbers on the old Hammond BC organ from the Capitol Cinema Cardiff - well remembered by local folk.
Recorded in-between mixing and laying a couple of tons of concrete! Coupled to two Leslie speakers. Part of our collection of electronic organs in our new theatre organ museum in the Rhondda Valley. The instrument has been lovingly restored by David John of Neath, owner of a fine Christie Theatre Organ. David has also re-leathered all the chests and percussions of the ex-Regal Edmonton Christie Organ made famous by Sidney Torch, which will be the centrepiece of our collection.
There will also be another fine four manual hybrid instrument based on the ex-Dominion Tottenham Court Road Compton complete with illuminated console.
Both Theatre Organs will rise on independent lifts as in the "Good Old Days" -
In addition we also have playing the ex-Picture House, Leicester Model F Wurlitzer
and the ex-Ritz Hereford Compton.
Also the magnificent 4/20 instrument ex- Compton Lodge Sapcote
complete with real Melotone and Wurlitzer Upright Piano ex- Empress Ballroom, Blackpool.
