The historic Indianapolis neighborhoods are all over. Lockerbie Square happens to be the oldest intact residential neighborhood in Indianapolis, Indiana. So, that certainly means Lockerbie Square has some of the oldest houses in Indianapolis! There are plenty of unique homes to be found here with some in pretty rough shape while others are incredible. There's tremendous architecture and history found in Lockerbie Square. But, it's also incredibly close to downtown Indianapolis. The proximity to downtown Indianapolis will always be a draw for many people. Lockerbie Square is only roughly half a mile from the heart of downtown Indianapolis. A short walk for sure.
