Car is 91 500SL and after all maintenance work done, ex. all vacuum hoses, injectors, etc, the car would still have slight hesitation when accelerating. As this year has very limited diagnostics I had to manually check camshaft advance solenoids by applying 12Volts directly to terminals while engine was running. Driver side advance worked, engine stumbled when power is applied. Passenger side was not working, engine ran same. Solenoid coil checked out fine. Problem was in actual advance mechanism activation shaft. It was stuck. Upon closer inspection armature nut happen to be over tightened. Loosen up the nut just enough for shaft to move freely and it fixed the problem. Car has way more power now, runs great. I did readjust my duty cycle and air flow meter as it was set with non working advance. All is fine now.
