Here is a video in which I talk about and demonstrate the smaller snare drums I use for gigging and recording. While I only use a few of these as a main snare all of them are used as supplemental drums from time to time. These 6 drums range in size from 12" in diameter to 8" in diameter with several different depths.
Here are the drums with the timestamps as played in the video.
Time Stamps
0:00 Drum information

The drumset I am using for this video is a 1990's Gretsch Catalina Elite.
The set features a 16" Bass Drum, as well as 12" and 14" toms.
The Cymbals are a Paiste 16” Sound Creation Dark Flat ride, an 18” Paiste 1970's 602 medium flat Ride and an 18” re-mix Zildjian ride as well as 12” Zildjian re-mix hi hats.
The mics are two Sennheiser MKH 800 overheads and a Shure Beta 52 on the bass drum.
As always there is no EQ, compression or other sound processing added to the recording.
