First HEAT ADVISORY of the year has been issued for Houston and much of SE Texas with the exception of our coastal counties. It will be in effect Noon until 8PM Sunday and Noon until 8PM Monday. Heat index values could be up to 110 Sunday and up to 112 Monday. Take it easy in the heat by staying hydrated and finding shaded areas. Also check your vehicle for your kids and pets before walking away. Rain and storm chances remain low the next few days but will gradually increase a bit as we go through next week. A weak front will bring slight heat and humidity relief by Tuesday and Wednesday.
