My attempt to learn guitar and work my way through Guitar World magazine's Top 100 Guitar Solos. Many of these solos are well beyond my abilities technically, so my goal isn’t necessarily to master the solo, but record a take that accurately reflects where I am as a player at that moment in time.

Not sure I understand this one… I mean, it’s a nice little solo, but I don’t know how it made it this far on the list (or on the list). There is a video where Dez Dickerson talks about the solo, and how it’s basically the compilation of 4 different solos he put down when they were recording the track. Oh well, done and dusted.

Backing Track: No vocals, but easy to play to: [ Ссылка ]
Lesson: Quick solo, but I found two good lessons that I thought I’d link to: [ Ссылка ]

Tone: The guitar solo is a bit lost a bit in the mix (another reason why I question why it’s on the list), but it seems like a pretty straight forward tone: strat, a bit of drive into a fender style amp. Very nice, classic tone – I just wish it would have been more present in the mix.
