Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday blamed the judiciary and top lawyers for pending cases in Indian courts and opined that the people responsible for delivering justice are failing to do their job.
While speaking at the 16th National Conference of Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad in Haryana, Rijiju said, "There are so many pending cases in courts. Some lawyers keep on asking for dates and some judges even give them. So, people responsible for delivering justice aren't able to deliver justice." "Some lawyers charge Rs 30-40 lakhs for one appearance and some don't have work. Why so? Provisions are same for everybody," he claimed. Stay tuned to Mirror Now!
