DWI WXII Tolly Carr passenger Wilson released from hospital
WXII morning show anchor Tolly Carr's friend and passenger, Fjola Ingvadottir Wilson, 33, was released from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Wilson, who also works at WXII, had been hospitalized with injuries sustained in the accident that took the life of Casey Bokhoven, age 26, Sunday morning, March 11, 2007 around 3:40 am in Winston-Salem.
Bokhoven was struck by Carr's truck as Carr drove through a construction zone on West First Street and veered onto the sidewalk where Bokhoven was waiting for his girlfriend. Bokhoven died trapped under Carr's vehicle. Carr was charged with DWI. More charges may follow pending an analysis of Carr's blood taken because he refused a Breathalizer test. Carr had minor injuries and he was treated and released shortly after the accident.
From the WXII 5 am morning show broadcast on Thursday, March 15, 2007, with substitute anchor Elizabeth Wenger, who has been filling in Tolly Carr's position.
