When preparing for the real estate exam, it is important to have a good understanding of the different forms of ownership that exist in real estate.
This video will review the features of all four and the differences.
The summary of the differences between these forms of ownership:
Ownership in severalty: Owned by a single individual or entity.
Tenancy in common: Two or more individuals with no right of survivorship
Joint tenancy: Two or more individuals with equal ownership rights and right of survivorship
Tenancy by the entirety: Available only to married couples, with the right of survivorship
