If you are a fan of racing games, then you know that playing with a controller is much less immersive than a wheel, and after PXN shipped a V9 our way for an honest review we decided to test out this racing wheel setup.
Now racing simulation tech goes back to arcades, where games like Sprint, Ivan Stewart's Off Road Racing, Badlands and even Cruis’n USA...but for console and PC users we've had the fortune of trying out offerings from companies like Logitech, Thrustmaster and even Microsoft for a while.
So what's our take on PXN V9 Racing Wheel? As they've got haptics if not force feedback, and they definitely come in at a budget price range (ish). With clutch and pedals mounted under my desk we put it through it's paces through a slew of racing games.
We also compare some of the offerings of Logitech and Thrustmaster with the Thrustmaster T248 and Logitech G923 all having their highs and lows described, as well as compared to the T150 the T300 and the G29 and G920 force feedback wheels.
Sim racing, casual racing, you just sit in a cardboard box making vroom vroom sounds? All are welcome.
No punches held back, just an honest review to help you decide what racing wheel set is the right choice for you. Race you to the finish!
