The other day, I was watching a popular parenting person on social media tell parents to utilize a permissive indulgent parenting approach if they want to have a close relationship with their kids.
This individual is not unique. I find that many of the popular parenting people on social media focus on making parents feel good, rather than doing what research data has shown is best for kids.
So you can parent in a way that is most comfortable to you, or you can parent in a way that will be most helpful to your child, yet might not always feel comfortable to you.
