🍕 Homemade High-Protein Pizza Recipe 🍕
Are you tired of relying on pizza chains for your pizza fix? Well, today I've got a game-changing pizza recipe that will make you forget about pizza delivery forever! This pizza isn't just delicious; it's packed with a whopping 200g of protein! Yes, you read that right.
Ingredients:
King Arthur Baking Flour
Sea salt
Yeast
Water
Forget about complicated measurements; we're all about ratios here. For every 100% flour, add 65% water, 3% salt, and 0.3% yeast. Simple, right?
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, add 325g of cold water, 15g of salt, and 5g of yeast.
Add half of the flour, give it a light mix, and let it rest for 10 minutes covered with a towel.
After 10 minutes, add the remaining flour and knead for at least 10 minutes until the dough is stretchy.
Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it with a damp towel, and let it rise for 2 hours.
Roll out the dough to about 12" and ¼" thick.
Now, let's talk about the sauce. This isn't your typical pizza sauce; it's bursting with flavor and not too acidic.
Sauce:
In a large oiled pan over medium heat, cook one diced onion until softened.
Add 6 cloves of garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add a can of diced tomatoes and stir well.
Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Once reduced, blend the sauce to your desired thickness.
Time to assemble the pizza! We're using a BBQ and a pizza stone for that perfect crust.
Assembly:
Preheat your BBQ to the highest setting (around 500 degrees).
Roll out your dough and place it on a pan dusted with flour or cornmeal.
Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza, covering the crust too.
Top with fresh skim mozzarella and basil.
Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone.
Cook until the crust turns stiff, about 3-5 minutes.
Let it cool, slice, and enjoy!
