In 1959, the HH Dalai Lama and many Tibetan followers fled the Chinese-controlled Tibet, crossing through the Himalayan Mountains to seek asylum in northern India. This is why many Tibetans, Tibetan Temples, and Tibetan-influenced foods are in the northern areas of Himachal Pradesh. The Buddhist spiritual leader, His Holiness Dalai Lama, lives in Dharamshala. From this city, he is able to govern and lead the Tibetan followers. In this video, we spend the afternoon exploring the Tsuglagkhang Dalai Lama Temple Complex. We are the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly with our three children. We sold our home in Alaska, USA, eight years ago, and headed overseas. We are teachers and found fantastic teaching positions in India. Two years later, we moved to the United Arab Emirates.
