Aoba was a heavy cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She was the leadship of the Aoba-class heavy cruisers. She was bombed and sunk by carrier-based aircraft of the US Navy on July 24th and 28th, 1945, at Kure Harbor, Japan. This video shows the wreck of the Aoba in Kure harbor.
