On this episode we examine the new for 2017 Airman 42 from Swiss Made brand Glycine. A lot has changed over at the house of Glycine as of late, mainly with their recent purchase by Invicta, it has had many watch fans wondering how it would impact the brand moving forward. Brand reps have assured that the change in ownership would not impact quality, essentially their production would remain unchanged and only their marketing strategy might see a reface. This news left me skeptical as well, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this new release in Glycine's Airman line. It's a more modernized take on their classic little world-timer that somehow keeps the vintage aesthetic while streamlining the design language into a less polarizing, albeit less charming to some, package. I do a few comparisons to my classic Airman 18 and although the 18 is 'truer' more pure rendition of the long running Airman line, the new for 2017 42, is overall a more versatile watch in my eyes.
