Opening Questions:
* What is a parable?
* What is your favourite parable? Why?
Read Matthew 13:1-23
* Did you need Jesus’ explanation?
* Which soil do you think most represents you when you first heard the good news?
* Have you experienced people who have been the various soil types?
* Sam said in the video the soil type isn’t fixed, in what ways can we be involved in turning hard, rocky and thorny ground into good ground?
* One of Sam’s conclusions though was to chuck out the seed of the gospel regardless of the condition of the soil, do you agree?
* How are you doing at keeping sowing the seed of the gospel?
* Have you been discouraged in sowing the seed? Why?
* Can you see how Jesus explaining various reactions to the gospel helps us to persevere when we see them?

* Pray for specific individuals who need ground work. Pray for confidence to share the gospel regardless.
