Ingredients
1 cup niger seeds (ram til)
10-12 dried red chillies, stemmed
Salt to taste
10 garlic cloves
Method
1. Dry roast niger seeds on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Transfer in a plate and set aside to cool down.
2. Dry roast chillies in the same pan for 2 minutes. Transfer in the same plate and set aside to cool down.
3. Transfer the chillies in a blender jar and grind coarsely. Transfer in a bowl and set aside.
4. Transfer the niger seeds in the same grinder and grind coarsely. Add this to ground chillies, add salt and mix well.
5. Transfer a portion of the mixture in the blender jar, add 5 garlic cloves and grind to fine powder.
6. Transfer remaining mixture, add remaining garlic cloves and grind again.
7. Transfer into air tight container, refrigerate and use as required.
