The guys have to settle up and sign the contract for the purchase of the pub. Kane has been approved for a loan covering his 25% of the costs but he tells the others that he’s pulling out as he’s lost his motivation for the project. He later confesses it’s because Tom has told him that, when he finishes his time in Indonesia, he’ll be moving onto a new 2-year contract in Dubai. Tom says he hasn’t met someone else, but Kane has concluded that their relationship is over. Finn has worked it out for himself but Kane is dreading having to tell Stella. Meantime, everyone is caught up with the student representative elections and various family business.


Note … Set in Melbourne, this family orientated comedy drama is about the lives of four men who are helping to raise their children. They forge a friendship and help each other out with the trials and tribulations of their everyday lives.

Kane, a baker, was in a committed gay relationship for 7 years with his partner Tom, a fireman. He is raising Tom’s orphaned niece, Stella, and their foster son, Finn. Tom is away working overseas and Kane doesn't know when and if he'll be back. Kane’s brother-in-law Mark works part-time and looks after his daughters, Poppy and Sophie. Neighbour Lewis sold off his construction company and is a stay-at-home dad to his daughter, Tilda. He’s also connected with his grown-up daughters and son, Lucy, Phoebe and Ned, from previous marriages. Justin is a former football star who has custody of his children following his wife’s death in a road accident.
