In her TEDx talk, Emma reveals how she used music and songwriting to help her recover from multiple traumas, by writing and singing her truth, sharing her experiences and turning the lessons into blessings. Emma G is an award-winning musician, singer, songwriter, author, speaker and youth empowerment coach on a mission to change the world one song at a time. Emma G has had a lifetime of health issues, including 10 brain surgeries and 24 total surgeries. She is no stranger to depression, sexual assault, abuse, and losing friends to drug addiction and suicide. Emma G realized that singing her truth is an impressively effective tool for understanding, processing and overcoming her trauma.
