Here's an A/B of the Helix's amp modeling against the Axe FX 2's; please excuse the messy playing!
I've taken some time to compare the two against each other in a few ways, and this is pretty representative of the overall impression I've had.
The amp being used is a Plexi (Axe: 1959SLP Treble, Helix: Brit Plexi Brt). The basic knobs (TMBPG & master) are set to the same numerical values on both, and anything "deep" (sag, etc) is left at the factory default.
The cab is a 2x12 with a V30 and Creamback with a 57 off-axis on the V30.
The same post-EQ is applied to both the Axe and Helix to tame some of the weird resonances in my basement where the IR was shot.
Guitar: 3:43, Bare Knuckle Pickups ceramic Black Hawks.
Bass: Ibanez SR705 with stock Bartolini pickups/preamp
Drums: Superior Drummer + Metal Foundry
