There seems to be a lot of interest in the Kangkong (water spinach)! So I figured I would do a video on the Kangkong as I am going to harvest a pot for cooking later today. Although Kangkong grows easily from seed, but being a busy employee, mother of two, with a lot of house chores and in between parenting duties, finding time to do succession planting and sowing of seeds is a daily challenge.

So for me, I always look out for cut and grow again varieties for my garden, this saves me time and the plant can continuously provide me with food!

For the Kangkong, you can encourage cut and grow again provided you harvest it the right way. Typically if you uproot the Kangkong, you will have to sow seeds again for a new fresh pot. However, if you cut them the right way, you can get by with at least 3-4 cycles of harvest from the same pot! But having said that do remember that a potted plant can get root bound over time. It may be better to start afresh so the greens you grow will be healthier for consumption. Always check your pots and see how your plant is doing.
