this video demos using an old CB RADIO SWR METER from PACE, that also includes its own Field Strength Meter...and a FERRITE RODS tuned air wound coil for the input of a 20 db MAR 6 RF amp module, where the RF OUTPUT of the MAR 6 amp, goes to the "hot" contact of the PACE Field strength meter(where the whip antenna goes) and the PACE RF ground(using the RF CONNECTOR's shield) to setup a position 12 feet away from a Low Power AM Transmitter, transmitting on 1630 khz, and still be able to see the Field Strength Meter movement...to adjust the AM TRANSMITTER for maximum RF signal output

This demo was done to test the basic concept of using an amplified FSM for this purpose...there are quite a few options for building the RF preAMP with many circuit choices....this video shows just one example with the MAR 6 - tuned input(1630 khz) - from a FERRITE RODs , air wound coil, air variable capacitor receiver antenna setup...
8 ferrite rods, 61 material, 7 inches long each, 1/2 inch in diameter, stacked 4 per side inside the air wound coil
