The standing quad stretch stretches the quadriceps, the large group of muscles on the front of the thigh. Watch Personal Trainer and Yoga Instructor Ryan demonstrate how to do standing quad stretch here.
How To Do A Standing Quad Stretch
1. Stand side on to a wall, table or chair you can hold on for balance if needed.
2. Shift your weight onto your right foot and bend your left leg to bring your foot towards your glutes, then grab the outside of your left foot with your left hand.
3. Make sure both knees are together and in line with your hips and shoulders.
4. Engage your core and begin to tuck your pelvis towards your ribs while pushing your pelvis and quads forward.
5. Hold for 30 seconds and repeat on the other side.
