Set in Edinburgh, December 1998, 'Set in Darkness' follows Detective Inspector John Rebus as he investigates the discovery of a mummified body and the murder of Roddy Grieve amidst the backdrop of the reopening of the Scottish Parliament. Rebus deals with political intrigue, personal vendettas, and historical tensions while working alongside DI Derek Linford and DC Siobhan Clarke.
