Last week we featured a different resident performing a stop-and-chop cataract surgery and it was very poorly done. That video (2238) can be reviewed and contrasted with today's case which is far better. The amazing thing is that both of these residents are the same year of training and have done about the same number of cataract surgeries (about 200). This resident does a great job considering the early position in the learning curve. I expect that this resident will be fantastic at case 1000 and would love to see a follow up video. If you are currently graduating from an ophthalmology residency program (or fellowship), watch this video and ask yourself if you are at least this good! What is your take on this resident's performance? Please comment below.
