While scrolling on YouTube, you might have encountered an instance whereby the videos play by themselves. This is usually set to default on the Youtube application. However, if you don't want this, you can disable it from the YouTube settings.
To do so:
Launch the YouTube application on your device
Tap on your profile icon at the upper right side
Tap on Settings
Tap on General
Select Playback in feeds
Choose Off to disable them
If you're worried that autoplay consumes data, you can enable the feature to play only on WiFi. This will allow the videos to automatically play while scrolling when connected to a WiFi network.
