I'm not investing in Rivian because I think my money would be better invested into Tesla stock.

Currently Rivians marketcap is: 110 billion

Tesla's market cap is: 1.02 Trillion

Rivian wants to produce 1 million Evs in 2030

Tesla's plan is 20 million evs per year by 2030

Tesla delivers they have crushed expectations even during the pandemic.

Tesla also has Solar, battery storage, an entire ecosystem revolving around sustainable energy - not to mention their AI team and full self driving.

There is no reason for Rivian to be priced as high as it is right now.

It's not impossible for the company to deliver, but expecting them to deliver this hard without a proven track record isn't smart.

This of course is just my own opinion and isn't investing advice. - In reality it could go either way.

Hopefully they are successful.

Still they need to scale.

As of right now they have delivered over 150 electric trucks.

Tesla will likely deliver 800 thousand Evs this year give or take (2021)

Elon Musk and the Tesla team have a track record.

Rivian still has much to prove.
