Rolling Stones tour Europe again to celebrate 60th anniversary
The British rock band said Monday that the Rolling Stones will begin a European tour this summer, celebrating their 60th anniversary as a band in stadiums and arenas.
Dubbed 'SIXTY', the 14-show tour kicks off in Madrid on June 1 and will travel through 10 countries, including the UK.
The band will perform at Anfield in Liverpool, their first gig in a British city in more than 50 years, as well as two concerts in London's Hyde Park.
Lead singer Mick Jagger, 78, and guitarists Keith Richards, 78, and Ronnie Wood, 74, will be on tour with drummer Steve Jordan. The Stones drummer Charlie Watts joined the band in 1963 and turned 80 last year.
"Looking forward to seeing you all summer!" Jagger tweeted, alongside videos of the band performing live over the decades.
According to the press release, the track will include Stones classics like "(I Can't Get It) Satisfied" and "Black It Up," as well as a "series of unexpected tracks" from its extensive music catalog.
The tour will also feature a new stage production.
The Rolling Stones completed the North American leg of the "No Filter" tour in November and will also perform in Munich, Amsterdam, Bern, Milan, Brussels, Vienna, Paris and Stockholm. ()
