UPDATE #2: For those that don't want to download the uncompressed video, I made a GIF that shows the temporal aliasing pretty well. [ Ссылка ]
UPDATE: After uploading this I noticed that, even in 1080p, YouTube's horrible compression makes it really hard to notice just how bad the temporal aliasing artifacting is. I HIGHLY recommend downloading the original video to get an accurate representation. The temporal aliasing is MUCH worse than this video makes it seem: [ Ссылка ] (162MB)
TXAA is beautiful. It was developed by Timothy Lottes who also developed the now very common FXAA. TXAA is currently the only real-time anti-aliasing method that completely eliminates temporal aliasing. This is an artifact that's hard to notice in screenshots, but, in motion, looks like a gross "crawling" effect that's almost always noticeable in distant foliage. Even at TXAA 2X (which has less of a performance hit than MSAA 4X), this effect is nearly eliminated.
And for those who still think TXAA makes everything "blurry", here are some comparison screens showing that TXAA 2X is actually less blurry than MSAA 2X in Black Flag: [ Ссылка ]
