Lucy Connolly has been arrested for inciting racial hatred after calling for hotels with asylum seekers to be set on fire in a now deleted tweet.

She’s the wife of Tory councillor Raymond Connolly, who’s insisted that she can’t be racist because she ‘looks after Somali and Bangladeshi kids.’

Lucy remains in custody.
