Here's Peggy's transcription: I had my surgery April 11 of 2008 and it was just like a couple weeks before that they thought I had gallbladder problems. Luckily the surgeon who came here to do that was very careful and he just went in and got right back out. He said this is way beyond me.

I think it would be a lot harder if you were really young, and I feel the most for the people that are really young and have children at home and things. I've raised my children. And if something would have happened, I was OK. I told my family, yea, I want to live, because I still want to be around for you. But if something happens it's ok because I know where I'm going.

I still kept working, even after my cancer diagnosis. I've only been retired for a year. And I know a lot of people would say you come here and get treatment and you go right back to work? Yes, what else do you do? Life goes on. And so I worked and did things with my grandkids and my kids.

I don't work now but I still do all the other things I can possibly do, because when you have good days you better do what you can do and enjoy them.

I don't know how people get through things without faith. I really don't. Because I don't think I could if I didn't have that faith.

The doctors do all they can, and we do what we can, and then it's up to him. And when he's ready for me, I'm ready. I'm not fearful of death.

Cancer to me has also been an awakening. In some ways it's been a blessing. I have met so many wonderful people and had so many wonderful people care for me. You don't know how many good people are out there until you really have a need.
