Here we look at the Aotearoa/New Zealand version of the mysteriously deadly and poisonous mushroom, Paxillus involutus (which actually absent from this country). The New Zealand species is Paxillus ammoniavirescens, a common and reasonably distinctive ectomycorrhizal species. Plus a cameo appearance from a Xerocomellus species (erroneously called Xerocomus chrysenteron here, which is also absent from this country)! This video updates the previous one on Paxillus involutus.
