Allama Mashriqi's son, the late Hameeduddin Ahmed Al-Mashriqi,
launched a rally in which he demanded the following:
1) Khaksar Massacre in Lahore on March 19, 1940 should be made
part of educational syllabus in Pakistan (from primary to university level)
2) Government of Pakistan should observe and commemorate the
Khaksar martyrs at a national level
3) March 19th (the day of the Khaksar massacre) should be declared a national holiday
