Inspiring you to cook 〜 E is for Edamame Hijiki
I'm sure you've tried edamame in your local Japanese restaurant, but it's usually just salted. Edamame is great in a quick simple stew like this.
If you've never tried hijiki before, give it ago. Like sushi nori it's a type of seaweed so has a distinctive taste but it's full of nutrients and minerals.
【Tips】Using sesame oil will help mask the seaweed taste and also make the dish smell more fragrant.
Ingredients: Serves Two
1tsp dried hijiki (and a bowl of water)
50g edamame
1/3 carrot
1tsbsp soy sauce
2tbsp mirin
2tbsp sake
1tsp sugar
1/2tsp fish stock
180ml water
Sesame Oil
